The Easter Weekend brought the opening of the County Championship 2026, sadly sun didn’t arrive with it! My cricket watching season started a week earlier with a warm up match between Essex and Yorkshire. That was a decent run out for both teams, if a bit crazy, it would surely have made sense to play a nearby county! Jonny Bairstow looked a lot fitter and we were treated to a very nice 50 from his bat. On to the business in hand! Leicestershire and Glamorgan had come into Division 1 as Worcestershire and Durham went the other way
